Ala Gypsy: The cup.....of life

This morning, during my normal "waking-up-ritual", I thought for one brief moment ....what will happen if I wake up and it is not there..........the kettle, the cup, the milk, the aroma, the first sip, the sigh, the second sip, the beginning of life seeping through my body.......and then, only then the brain starts to function.....

Is there anyone else out there that just like me drags herself, while still in a zombie-like state to put on the kettle and just hangs there till it`s filled up and only after a few wonderful sips can begin to function??

Do I need help??

Dear Gypsy. I'm a horrible grouch, I'm a grumpy mommy, I'm a snappish wife. Until my first sip...and then I am transformed into a only semi-horrible, semi-grumply, semi-snappish individual. And everyone around here breathes a sigh of relief:-)

I wake up and think - COFFEE - once I have thought it I have to get up and have one. My worst nightmare is running out of it. It makes me human until the next one.

um, yes...exactly...

I get up, my bf has left for work, he starts the coffee as without knowing that it is already made, I would not get out of bed.
I pour the cup, and head to my computer where I drink coffee, and read blogs I love until I am awake enough to blog myself.
fyi...I have had only half a cup at this point.

It's best not to speak to me in the morning, until I've had that first mug of tea!

Coffee for me is essential ! Tea comes later in the afternoon, especially chocotea !
I'm pleased to share a cup of your gentle tea today !

Thanks for stopping by my blog to say Hi! It's great to meet a fellow South African blogger!

I can't function until I have my first cup of tea (which is usually when I get to work).

You have such a beautiful blog. I am a tea drinker, hot and cold tea and must have my tea everyone morning so I can relate pretty much. There is something about the warmth of the liquid seeping though my body that seems to liven my bones.

Happy I stopped by. Have a wonderful weekend.

I'm one of those fast risers, wide awake, all ready to go, bright eyed and bushy tailed. My husband isn't. I have learned not to talk to him until he has had his coffee. The end of the day is when I run out of energy.

I can't communicate on any level until I've had a cup of tea, and really struggle if I have to get up and make it myself! Once that first cuppa is drunk I have to move on to coffee within half an hour but there's no way I could have the coffee if I haven't had tea first!

Hi Chamara,
No my dear--I need my morning fix as well--for me it is coffee with cream and sugar--at least two cups to get going!

I know it is a combination of both physical and emotional needs for it.

Oh well--that's my vice!

Thanks for visiting my blog and for your sweet comment!

Warmly,
Susan
