Design Find: Annie Brahler`s farmhouse

Anyone still believing that country style must be limited to farmhouses need only behold the home of Annie Brahler for compelling proof to the contrary. Located in Jacksonville, Ill., the stately, six-bedroom house is a landmark of that city's historic district. On the outside, it is pure architectural sophistication; on the inside, it's country through and through.

Such great design....I LOVE the blue slip covers on the Louis XVI chairs in the first photo! Really feminine details, sweet and calming.

What a beautiful blog. This post is exceptional. What a stunning home. That cut out wall leading from the living to dining room is beyond fabulous...my new 'want' for a future home. It's absolutely breathtaking!
