Ala Gypsy: Party Time..........

What a lovely time I had, visiting my brother and his family.

A quiet restful farm with the loveliest gardens and beautiful view of the mountains, funny looking sheep and miles and miles of trees...........so peaceful...and then...the arrival of 15 seven year old`s ........hurray...it`s party time!!!!!

My youngest is about to turn 14, and I almost forgot the total high-spirited, energetic, excited, cheerful state of being of a seven year old coming to a party !! They were running through the house, the gardens, the rain.......and everywhere was presents, food, clothes, cake, towels, mud.......they had a lovely time and we sparked to get the little angels presentable and dry for their parents to come and pick them up.

But I loved every minute of it......yes, this going-to-be-grandmother will definitely be the one volunteering to give the parties!!!

Well, they do say that being a grandmother is the bestest ever. So, I am sure you will do so very wonderfully!!!! I love 7. It is a good age.

I wish I had just half the energy of a 7 year old, lol! Sounds like you had a great time, so much fun!

I love being a grandmother. When they call me Mimi, my heart melts like a Hershey's Kiss in the sun.

Your tale is lovely, I can almost hear their laughter as they run through the house, through the rain. You have really captured the essence :)

And seven is a wonderful age I agree, my godson is seven, and I love the deep conversations we have one minute and how he turns into a happy little monkey the next.

Congratulations on winning the blog of the day award :)

isn't it amazing how children just love and enjoy parties on such a pure level!!!

what happens to us as we get older that we just forget that...?

I really like that garden center you shared!
This weekend my 13 year old son will be having his 'sleepover' here. I sure hope sleep is involved!
