Ala Gypsy: Reach for the moon......

I`ve always been one to dream big....think big.....and believe that I can achieve whatever I put my mind to..........I owe this to my mother, who practised and lived this belief throughout her whole life.......she was years before her time with this....before mind power, and positive thinking was published widely........and she taught this to all 3 her children, who for some unknown reason payed attention ......I am trying to teach this to my children as well......

So how on earth, if you know certain truths, know it`s secret, it`s power, it`s magic, do you choose to bury it for a while....sometimes quite a while and in the meantime wondering why everything is not working as it should in our lives........how can we sit by and sabotage our own dreams , even if just for a short while......am I the only one on this planet doing this???????

Well, if I am....... I have given myself a wake-up call this weekend and if you too are guilty, I`m going to give this call so hard as to wake you up as well.....we really owe this to ourselves

Come on Gypsy.....back to basics........please don`t tell my Mom......

wake up call appreciated and so timely with where I am at now. You are not the only one who has sabotaged your own dreams...I am sick of looking back, time to look forward! We were created to live!

I think we all do this at times, regardless of how we know to make things happen and regardless of the evidence left by those dreams of ours that have already manifested. Sometimes we just need to... take it slower maybe. I don't know... But this seems to be a year to make big dreams come true. I see it all around me. The power of your intentions is unlimited. I know you know that but I just wanted to remind you :-)Wishing you the best with those dreams of yours!

I could not agree more! I believe that the universe is willing to bestow abundance upon us of all kinds....but we need to ask! Do it. Life is too short not to!

Your mother sounds like an amazing woman.

Your post could not have come at a better time. I've been on a bit of a roller coaster lately, down and up and down, but I hope it's over now... I'm not gonna sit on the sidelines and observe any more, it's time to live!

I hope you're having a good weekend Chamara and that you too feel you're back on track.

Dear Chamara,
This wake up call couldn’t have come to me at a better time. I’ve always been a dreamer at heart. Your mother was an insightful person and understood fully what the purpose of our existence on earth is all about. I truly believe everyone has a purpose on this earth and to a degree have the talent to execute their purpose. Some more than others but all the same we all can be productive. Then why do we stagnate and not move ahead?
It depends on many variables which affect our thinking and progress; worries of everyday life, illness, lack of commitment and support from others. I suppose we should look at things in a more positive way and think “where there is a will there is a way”. My quote I like to use is “Never say Never”. It works for me but like I said it all depends on the variables that surround us and how much we let them affect us.
Maybe thru our blogging giving someone a little encouragement might just be the medicine needed to achieve our dreams. Your post certainly gave me a boost today and it wasn’t much effort on your part was it???? Thanks Chamara, Loved your post…much appreciated.

We were jogged into this same remembrance when we recently saw The Secret on Oprah. So we are now back to dreaming big. How wonderful your mother taught you this, and you are passing it on to your children.

I know in my case, it is because I fear failure. But do tell us, Gypsy, what your dreams might be.

We all do this from time to time. Sometimes it's because we're on the sideline but don't know which way is forward. You've intrigued us, so fess up!

I can so relate! It is entirely up to ourselves to create the life we desire.

You're already putting it out there.... you're already telling the universe that 'it's time'. You have the power! Check out The Secret... it's all over the place and everyone is talking about it... including Oprah. Check out the website and view the DVD or read the book! Go to the website to read more words of inspiration and encouraging stories to jump start your plan to change your life. :)

TRUST me...I just recently had to give myself a wake up call.

As a child, we all knew I would be an artist, as a child, I knew I could do great things with it....

As I got older, I wasn't so sure...I DID bury those secrets deep...and I just dabbled, hemmed and hawed.

I have recently decided to wake up....I know you will too....

Sometimes, some of us need to take out time is all....

How wonderful that you and your siblings held onto what your mother taught you ~ that is success on both sides! =) Thank you for visiting my blog. Yours is absolutely lovely!

Okay, you know what I think happens? I think we all get caught up in the mundane: children, jobs, housework, laundry, filling up the car, cooking delicious meals and then our dreams are not lost, but forgotten. And it takes a long sit down moment to even remember who you are and what your dreams once meant.

Thanks for the wake up call. We all need it once in a while.

Best of luck to you.

I too fell victim of sabotaging my dreams, for years and years actually...I wish I could understand why on earth I would have done that to myself, but instead of focusing on that, I just focus on right now, my paint covered hands, my little apartment, and the man of my dreams...

everything else slowly begins to fade.

Waking up singing and thanking you for leading the song!

I often find myself intimidated by other's successes and talents and instead of being inspired to realize my own talents, I usually hide behind others and then resent them when they succeed...

Hmmm...

Seeing a not so great pattern here.
Thanks for the encouragement to live in the moment and not be afraid of how great we all truly are!!

Totally! Now I'm reaching for my dreams and slowly, but surely, they are coming true.

I've started doing the Secret on purpose, although I was doing it before and not really knowing what I was doing. It has started working on small things. Now I'm starting on the big things.

Guilty as charged, I am a dreamer and have sabotaged some of them. So thanks for the visit to my blog, it will keep me on my tippie toes....
Oh yes I forgot to say, I promise not to tell your mom....

(hope it works..lol) I also looove this image. I believe it's a bit different, but it was from this song sheet. I had seen it in an antique store and then looked it up online.

oh, I love your nuggets of wisdom here. I need to take time to go through each one. yes, music does make the world go around! sometimes/oftentimes, music inspires my artwork. I can hear just one line and it gets me in a good mood! it's wonderful that you take time to appreciate these things and tell us to also! xoxoLia
