Oh what a big thing this is in South Africa.......a Valentines dance when you are in senior school!!
In some schools it is just as big an affair as the matric farewell (as we call our prom dance).
Everywhere there is preparations, invitations and some heartache going on.......
Is it just here, or is this happening all over the world????

I rememberd our valitines dances so well. Usally the seniors on the drama comittee decorated, why on earth not the art children they will know. But any how it was fun and the boy that liked you, and you didn't even know about it, had enough gourage to ask you to dance.
Aaaahhhh!!! Those were the days...
Oooh, what a beautiful blog this is! And, thanks so much for visiting mine. I remember my matric dance well, what fun, I was at a convent and my brother who took my best girl friend made us hide two beers in our bags. Voila! The nuns found out - instant disgrace! :) BTW I also became a grandmother for the second time last year, it's the bestest thing ever.
AnnieK aka redwitchx - it's a long story! :)
i always love the pictures you post on your blog :)
here in the US, the valentine's day dance is just a dance. prom is a much bigger deal.
I don't think they have one here in Oz, but then my 3 boys aren't old enough for girls and Valentines YET!!??
Valentines dance is just a small affair... the big one is the prom or end of the year dance. Beautiful picture on this post.
it is a beautiful picture, in australia, they have a deb ball .they all dress up (girls) in white evening gowns.
On Valentine's Day I will dance all over my studio...not quite the same, but in my head it is.
I am a gypsy at heart and in my head, it is in my life that I am not.
Mayb we should have a blogging gypsy day, girls!
I like Casapinka's idea!!
I would love to go to a Valentine's Dance!
By the way I enjoy the prints you show us. Are they from your personal collection?
