………Yes, I`m also a burlap fanatic…and yes, it is also a huge trend here in South Africa….
I saw a fabulous post on French kissed and decided that it is just the thing I have to do with the old chairs that I have in storage…..nearer inspection lead me on a delightful journey into blog land, tracing the best of burlap and grain sacks…..so please, this is a looong post, but bear with me as it is more for myself to get order in my thoughts and put the best of options and inspiration up for appreciation…..maybe you will also be astounded with what I found……and please bear in mind that it is impossible to post all of the creativity that I witnessed……..I truly mean it if I say..”People, you are amazing!!!!!!”
French kissed.....who got me started:
Creative little Daisy:
........and that concludes today`s marathon post......but trust me that is by far not all the amazing uses of burlap.....I left the art and crafts for another time...........enjoy!

I can't wait to see what you end up doing with your chairs. I am also excited to go back and visit some of the wonderful sites I did not previously know about. My first look froze the computer!
Back on line and gosh, you have done a fantastic job here!! There are some lovely ideas. I used brown check burlap (hessian) for the windows in our barn and have covered things with it over the years.
It would take a week to go through these links!
Thanks, Gypsy, very nice post, as usual. xa

I am crazy for burlap/linen/hemp/homespun and so are many of my clients....I'm printing our your post, laminating it, and sharing it with my boutique visitors (many of whom never turn on the computer moreorless visit blogs).
Thank you for incredible research--I hope to come back and visit your blog soon--it's now bookmarked!

Thank you for sharing all the lovely burlap photos...I share this love too.
Ok...Now I know we are sisters! ((hugs))
I love Burlap and started using it 8 years ago for drapes. I loved the weight and the way light filtered through the loose weaves....plus as a girl on a budget then you couldn't beat the price! Thank you for the post and for your kind comments of late!
Adore this hugh post! Love burlap for it's simplicity, and yet, look how elegant it becomes. Is that smocking on those drapes? Too good. Those first chairs easily explain your addiction!
I am lovin everything in this post. I bought a chair this weekend with this exactly in mind!
fantastic post..........that takes a lot of work! but well appreciated by this lover of linen/hemp/burlap.....and man, do I have to start following!
what's my problem?

This is out of this world. Absolutely, gorgeous. Makes one want to re-decorate. Thank you for taking the time to put together this post. I KNOW how much time it took you to do it.
I am loving burlap...so so beautiful is your post...I am hoping for Christmas to do some decorating with burlap. I just ordered some sweet Christmas stockings from my friend over at Faded Plains. Thank you for your well wishes you left on my blog...this flu bug does like to stay an visit for awhile. xoxo
I went down that same road a few weeks ago and was looking at all the wonderful burlap creations.
I actually bought some at the Fabric shop the other day and I hope to make some cushions are something from it.

You are sweet for coming by and leaving a comment. I tried to leave a comment on your PiP post but it wouldn't let me... it said Error page not responding. Just fyi... Thanks again for stopping by. Oh, I found some burlap at a thrift shop and figured out how to use it for slip covers... they were like pillowcases and slid right over the backs of my dining chairs.... I am going to paint or stamp something personal on them, so I will be posting on that soon.
My sister says I was always a gypsy... I love your painting o the gypsy.
Have a good one ...Lee
You're right, this is the best of burlap. I love the image with the portray.
