Ala Gypsy: .....what did you do with this year...

...I only glanced away....I mean for just a second and now they say it`s June already....some part of my brain just won`t accept it.......why oh why did I not stay focused.......I promised myself at the beginning of 2010 that this will be the one.......the one where I will keep my eye on the ball and LIVE IN EVERY MOMENT!!....well so much for that then.....I want you to listen Gypsy....for I have it on very good authority that you can never get lost time back....never, never ever.....

......so starting this moment....this very moment....... I am thinking of time as my friend.....thinking that I have lots and lots of time to do everything that I still want......thinking of time to spare instead of time running out......the clever people who know this for a "secret" and did this for years already, told me that my thoughts are my biggest enemy.....yeah right.....you`ll be surprised at how little I think these days......running on autopilot became so comfortable and so me....until this moment....this very one....when I will start making the most of what is left of 2010...for my dear friend...this Gypsy has lot`s to do this year....and lot`s and lot`s of time to do it......

Hi Gypsy,

Thanks for dropping by and leaving me such a wonderful comment. I do treasure your comments.

Yes!! Where has this year gone, I had so many plans and I just cannot believe how quickly my days go by.

I wonder how we can slow it all down.....?
Loved your story on Appley Hoare, I knew Appley when I was at Vogue Living and she had just opened her very first store in Mosman, it was fabulous and we often photographed there. Her second store in Queen Street, Woollahra was stunning and we all miss her so since she moved away. Appley has the most amazing eye for spotting incredible items.

Have a wonderful day,
Wishing you ""lots of time""

Hi Gypsy,

I feel exactly the same ~ wonder where the year has gone!
I wished it would slow down a little, everyone seems to be so busy.

Enjoy the rest of the week

Time does fly. I'm happy I live in a place where the seasons change. It helps you realize that the time is passing by. Otherwise, it goes and goes. I always think the "starts" are a good time to get back on track. The start of summer, the start of the school year (even if you don't have someone in school), the start of a new year.

Good luck getting to the place you want to be. I'll have to try that reverse logic of having all the time I need.

I'm hosting a new meme and do hope you can come join me. It's called "Summer Sundays" and it's all about what summer means to YOU!

That's good, Gypsy. Living in the MOMENT is the best (and only) way to go. Hope your day goes well and that you find happiness in the smallest of things. Sincerely, Susan

Good morning Gypsy,
Auto pilot is the enemy. It will take away your precious moments. I did it for years and will never do it again.
What I have learned to do is fill each day with moments, little and big. Like watching the baby squirrels chase each other out in the yard while I have my morning tea. Or reading a wonderful blog like this one, letting it take me to a special place while I have my breakfast. I let each trip to the store be an adventure. Looking at something different every time, even if I would never use it. Learning at least one new thing every day. Even if it is just reading a small article on the web or in a blog. Talking with at least one person at the store every single visit. Sharing a bright sunny positive attitude with them. Huge impact. And most importantly, I don't take myself too seriously. I learn to stop putting time into a carefully layed out block. I let interruptions happen. And if my list for the day didn't get done, I think about the extra things that happened. It took a blind leap off a cliff to get to this point. But, quitting my job and starting my business was the best thing I could have done. Time is now my best friend.
Starting this very moment is an excellent idea Gypsy. It will be fabulous.
