Me And Mine: Lady Lavender`s birthday.....

It was my Godmother`s birthday in August and I tried to bring a little bit of Provence to Lady Lavender`s day.....love you to bits Rie!!!!!!.......

Ala Gypsy: Colds and Family.......

It`s now really winter here in "not so sunny" South Africa and all around me people are getting sick with flu.....I`m doing the vitamin-thing and the affirmations-thing.....will NOT get sick!!!!! 

Another thing everyone around me is doing...... is travelling...and that my friend makes me truly  SICK..... sigh...with all my heart I would love to be in any of my favorite spots around the world....a girls gotta dream....

This weekend we have a family feast.....family from overseas came to visit and we are always looking for an excuse to have a party!!!!....it`s gonna be loads of fun.....I`m so looking forward to that..... cold weather and all......

Megan turned 18 a few months ago and we went all the way with a big "Alice in Wonderland" event......it turned out great and all the guests looked amazing!!!!

How time flies!!!!!......it was Megan`s Matric Farewell and I was one proud Mama!!!!



Easter Find: My sister-in law Lenina

My sister-in-law Lenina lives in Canada.....we rarely get to see one another.....but for families like mine..(scattered all over the world), e-mail. facebook, skype and other online platforms are just magic....we still get to talk every day and be part of each other`s life`s....Lenina sent me 2 of her easter decorations ....I just loved it...as I love just love this stylish and creative lady!!

Happy Mothers Day to all you wonderful ladies out there.!!!!!!

I want to thank my own Mom today.....the most talented and gifted woman I know.....the only one of her kind....who taught me to be myself...showed me that I can do whatever I set my mind to do......gave me a wealth of knowledge.....taught me the beauty of creation and how to use that detail in your own creativity......and keep reminding me every day not to take myself too seriously....Mom, I love you, appreciate you and salute you!!!!!

This poem touched my heart.....being a Mom myself I KNOW letting go is not an easy thing to do.......

In a previous post I was looking for inspiration for my bathroom window...and here is the finished product...eventually!!!!

I bought a table runner from one of my favourite french shops --Moi---at my favourite hangout place in Pretoria (Duncan Yard) mixed it with sone white linen and voila.......

Next project is to redecorate my guest bedroom...will keep you up to date........
